A private car changes the feel of a safari. The Land Cruiser 4X4 carries only your own party, so families, friends and couples travelling together keep the trip to themselves. The price is set per car, not per person, which means a full car of six works out at about AED 133 a head.
For one or two travellers the shared morning desert safari at AED 225 per adult costs less; from four people upward, the private car comes out below the shared price per head. Bigger groups can book more than one car on the same form.
