Dune Buggy Rental Dubai: Eight Polaris and Can‑Am Packages

Our dune buggy rental Dubai range is built from four models, Polaris and Can-Am, each with two or four seats and a choice of 30 minutes, one hour or two hours on Al Badayer's red sand. You pay per buggy, not per person. This page sorts out the seats, the makers, the turbo versions and the sums that decide which one fits your group.

Eight dune buggy rental Dubai packages at a glance

For dune buggy rental Dubai, the booking form lays things out as a neat grid. Two makers, Polaris and Can-Am. Two tiers for each maker, a standard model and a turbo model. And two seat layouts for every model, which gives eight packages in total. Every one comes in three lengths: half an hour, one hour or two.

Here is the ladder from the lowest 30-minute price to the highest, with both seat layouts side by side:

  • Polaris RZR 1000 CC: AED 600 with two seats, AED 800 with four
  • Polaris RZR 1000 CC Turbo: AED 900 with two seats, AED 1,200 with four
  • Can-Am Maverick X3: two seats AED 999, four seats AED 1,200
  • Can-Am Maverick X3 RS TURBO RR: AED 1,200 with two seats, AED 1,400 with four

Two seats or four: sizing your dune buggy Dubai ride

Count your group before you look at engines. A 2 seater carries a driver and one passenger. A 4 seater carries a driver and three passengers. Both are booked as one buggy, at one price.

On every model, the four-seat version costs more than the two-seat one, but not twice as much. On a 30 Min Ride the gap is AED 200 for the Polaris RZR 1000 CC, the four-seat Can-Am RS TURBO RR versus its two-seat twin and, near enough, the Maverick X3 (AED 201). That makes the bigger buggy the cheaper seat whenever all four places are filled.

There is a trade-off for groups of four, though. Two 2 seaters give two people the steering wheel, while one 4 seater gives it to one. On the Polaris RZR 1000 CC for an hour, two 2 seaters cost AED 1,800 together and one 4 seater costs AED 1,200. So you are paying AED 600 for a second driver. Decide whether that matters to your group, then book.

03makers

Polaris RZR or Can‑Am Maverick X3 for dune buggy rental

At every length and both seat counts, the standard Polaris costs less than the standard Can-Am. Take one hour with two seats: the Polaris asks AED 900 and the Can-Am Maverick X3 asks AED 1,499, so the gap is AED 599. With four seats, it is AED 1,200 against AED 1,950, so AED 750 apart.

Between the turbo models the gap shifts. The two-seat Can-Am RS TURBO RR costs AED 1,100 more for the hour than the two-seat Polaris Turbo, but with four seats the difference narrows to AED 550. If your heart is set on a Can-Am, the 4 Seater Can-Am Maverick X3 shared by four people is the gentlest way in, at AED 487.50 a head for the hour.

Which maker is right is mostly a question of budget and preference. Our listings only promise what the booking form shows: the model name, the seats and the price. If you want to compare one model with another in more depth, every buggy has its own page, such as the 4 seater Polaris RZR page.

What the turbo dune buggies add to the bill

Each maker offers a turbo step above its standard model: the RZR 1000 CC Turbo for Polaris and the Maverick X3 RS TURBO RR for Can-Am. How much it adds varies with the seat count and the ride length. Taking the hour as the example, here are the extra sums over the standard version of the same buggy:

  • Polaris, two seats: AED 300 more (AED 1,200 against AED 900)
  • Polaris, four seats: AED 950 more (AED 2,150 against AED 1,200)
  • Can-Am, two seats: AED 801 more (AED 2,300 against AED 1,499)
  • Can-Am, four seats: AED 750 more (AED 2,700 against AED 1,950)

05turbo who

Who should book a turbo buggy in Al Badayer

The cheapest turbo upgrade is on the two-seat Polaris, so a pair who have driven a buggy before and want a step up can make that move for AED 300 on the hour. For a first drive on sand, the standard model on a shorter slot is the sensible choice, and you can move up on the next trip.

At the very top of the list, the 2 seater Maverick X3 RS TURBO RR page explains the two-seat flagship, which runs from AED 1,200 for half an hour up to AED 4,200 for two hours.

Per-buggy pricing: what a dune buggy hour costs each person

Because the price is per buggy, filling every seat brings the cost per person down. Here is the 1 Hour Ride split evenly across a full buggy, from lowest to highest per head:

  • 4 Seater Polaris Dune Buggy RZR 1000 CC: AED 300 each
  • 2 Seater Polaris Dune Buggy RZR 1000 CC: AED 450 each
  • 4 Seater Can-Am Maverick X3: AED 487.50 each
  • 4 Seater Polaris Dune Buggy RZR 1000 CC Turbo: AED 537.50 each
  • 2 Seater Polaris Dune Buggy RZR 1000 CC Turbo: AED 600 each
  • 4 Seater Can-Am Maverick X3 RS TURBO RR: AED 675 each
  • 2 Seater Can-Am Maverick X3: AED 749.50 each
  • 2 Seater Can-Am Maverick X3 RS TURBO RR: AED 1,150 each

Choosing 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours of dune buggy rental Dubai time

Half an hour is the way to try a buggy without a big spend, and it is often enough for anyone unsure how they will feel on the dunes. An hour gives time to relax into the driving after the briefing.

If you are already planning a long session, book it as one block. On every one of the eight packages, a single 2 Hour Ride costs less than two 1 Hour Rides. The saving ranges from AED 50 on the 2 Seater Polaris Dune Buggy RZR 1000 CC to AED 400 on the 2 Seater Can-Am Maverick X3 RS TURBO RR.

08before you drive

Briefing and gear before your buggy drive

Every buggy ride opens with a detailed safety briefing. You learn the controls, the basics of safe desert driving, and what to do if trouble strikes. Protective kit, meaning a helmet, gloves and body armour, is handed out on site. Bring easy, sporty clothing and trainers.

Age rules for buggy drivers and passengers are not set out on this page. If someone young is coming along, or you are unsure who in your group can drive, ask us on WhatsApp before you book. Kit and safety are covered in full on the safety and gear page.

09getting there

Reaching the dune buggies and staying for dinner

Plan 45–60 minutes from Downtown Dubai to the Al Badayer buggy area. Drive yourself and the meeting point reaches you by email after you order, or add a transfer. A group of five or six fits one Private Transfer at AED 450 for the car. A Sharing Transfer is AED 175 a seat, available when two or more people start from one pickup location, and pickup is an hour before the ride. The location page explains the area.

Making an evening of it? The Standard Camp ( BBQ Dinner + Live Entertainment Shows) and the Premium Camp ( BBQ Dinner + Live Entertainment Shows ) sit on the same form at AED 125 and AED 250 per person. A camp booking needs the private car.

FAQ

Questions riders ask

01 Is the buggy price per person or per buggy?

Per buggy. One price buys the whole machine, with two or four seats to fill as you like. That is why a full 4 seater is often the cheapest way for a group to ride: the 4 Seater Polaris Dune Buggy RZR 1000 CC costs AED 1,200 for an hour, or AED 300 apiece across a full car of four. A 2 seater with two people works the same way.

02 Which buggy is the cheapest for a group of four?

The 4 Seater Polaris Dune Buggy RZR 1000 CC. Half an hour is AED 800, an hour AED 1,200, two hours AED 2,200, and each figure covers the whole buggy. Split four ways, the hour comes to AED 300 per person. The 4 Seater Can-Am Maverick X3 is the next step up for four, at AED 1,950 for the hour.

03 Is there a minimum age to drive or ride in a buggy?

We do not publish an age rule for buggy drivers or passengers, so send us a WhatsApp message with the ages in your group and we will reply with what applies, before any payment. The age guidance we do publish is for the quads: riders of 9 to 12 are pointed to the Kids Quad Bike Single Seater, and 14 to 17 year olds to the COBRA quad, both in the fenced area.

04 Should a first-timer choose a turbo buggy?

Usually not. If you have never driven a buggy on sand, a standard Polaris RZR 1000 CC or Can-Am Maverick X3 on a 30 Min Ride or 1 Hour Ride is the sensible start. Turbo models cost more at every length, from AED 300 more for an hour on the two-seat Polaris to AED 950 more on the four-seat one. Keep the upgrade for a second visit.

05 Can one person ride the KTM while the rest of us take a buggy?

Yes. The KTM Dirt Bike 450 CC and all eight buggies are on the same booking form, so a mixed group books together and can share one private transfer. Only the KTM carries the 18+ rule and needs real off-road experience. Everyone else can choose a buggy or a quad; if anyone in the group is young, ask us on WhatsApp about age before you book. The KTM rental page has the bike's prices and rules.

06 Buggy or quad: which is better for us?

A buggy keeps people together: two or four of you share one machine and one price. A quad is a solo ride for most models, with the Double Seater Quad Bike ( Open Deep Desert ) as the exception for pairs. Quads also include fenced-area models for younger riders. Our comparison guide goes through the choice, and quad biking lists every quad.
