One model on the KTM dirt bike Dubai form

Some operators list a long fleet. Our motorcycle line is one row long, the KTM Dirt Bike 450 CC, and that keeps the choice simple. You are never comparing engine sizes or badges, only deciding how long to ride.

A single model also means every briefing and every guided ride is built around this one bike. Whatever length you book, the machine under you is the same 450 CC KTM, and the same kit, fuel and guide come with it.

Every price is per bike. One rider, one bike, one booking line. Bringing two friends who also ride off-road? Add three bikes on the form, and each rider gets their own.

02ride lengths

KTM 450 prices for each ride length

Three lengths are on offer. The figures below are exactly as the booking form shows them, in AED per bike:

  • 1 Hour Ride: AED 850, with about 40 minutes of real riding once the warm-up is done
  • 2 Hour Ride: AED 1,250, which works out at AED 625 for each hour
  • 3 Hour Ride: AED 1,450, or roughly AED 483 for each hour

03which length

Which length suits your KTM rental in Dubai

The shortest slot is a taster. Your instructor's warm-up sits inside the hour, so expect around 40 minutes on the dunes themselves. It fits a day with other plans on either side, or a rider who wants to try the sand before committing to more.

The two-hour slot is where most of the warm-up stops mattering. You have time to settle in, find the way the bike answers in soft sand, and push a little further once your guide has seen how you ride. Each hour costs AED 625 here, well under the price of the single hour.

Three hours is for riders who came to Dubai to ride. The final hour costs very little next to the first, so the hourly figure drops to roughly AED 483. If you have the energy and the day, it is the best value on the form. Pick the length that matches your fitness too: a long session on deep sand is hard work for arms and legs.

A worked example for a group: three experienced riders on the 2 Hour Ride pay three times AED 1,250, which is AED 3,750 for the group. Add a private car for AED 450 and everyone travels together. The prices page lists every other ride and add-on on the same form.

04rider rule

The 18+ rule for KTM dirt bike Dubai riders

The rule has two parts and both apply. Riders must be 18 or older on the day, and they must already be experienced off-road. No driving licence is asked for, so a visitor without a local or international permit can still ride.

What counts as experienced? Be honest with yourself. If you ride enduro, motocross or trails at home and know how a bike behaves when the ground moves, you fit. If your only riding is on tarmac, or you have never sat on a motorcycle, the KTM is not the right first step, however good the training is.

That is not a closed door. Riders aged 14 to 17 are pointed to our COBRA Single Seater Quad Bike ( Fenced Area ), and adults new to sand can start on a quad or a buggy. See quad biking in Dubai and dune buggy rental for the options.

05inclusions

What comes with a KTM 450 CC rental

The price on the form is the price of the ride, with nothing protective sold on the side. Each KTM dirt bike Dubai booking includes:

  • Race kit to wear: pants, a jacket and gloves
  • A crash-resistant helmet with goggles
  • Protection for your collarbone and your knees
  • The fuel the bike burns during your ride
  • Briefing and training by an instructor first
  • A guide who rides out with you

06ktm group planning

Planning a KTM dirt bike ride for a mixed group

Groups rarely ride at one level. A common pattern is one or two experienced riders on the KTM while partners or friends take four wheels. Because buggies and quads sit on the same form, you can put everyone on one order, choose start times that line up, and share one private car out to the sand.

Keep the maths per machine in mind. The KTM is per bike, buggies are per buggy and quads are per quad, so a 4 seater buggy split four ways often costs less per head than one KTM hour. That gap is worth knowing before you promise anyone a ride.

07briefing

Your KTM briefing before the dunes

Before the first climb, the instructor covers the bike's controls, safe riding off-road in desert sand, and what to do in an emergency. A short training session follows so the bike and the terrain feel familiar before your guide leads you out. More detail on the kit and the safety talk is on our safety and gear page.

08booking the ktm

Booking a KTM dirt bike online

On the booking form, pick the KTM Dirt Bike 450 CC and a ride length, then a date. Slots begin as early as 5:00 AM, and 8:00 PM is the last one. Add a transfer if you need it: one private car carrying 5–6 people costs AED 450, while a shared seat costs AED 175 per person and needs two or more travellers starting from one pickup point. Card payment completes the order.

Your confirmation comes by email, along with the meeting point if you chose no transfer. If anything is unclear before you pay, the contact page shows every way to reach us, and messages are answered 24/7. Many common questions are also answered on our FAQ page, and the ride day itself is described on the dirt bike tours page.

FAQ

Questions riders ask

01 Which KTM do you rent in Dubai?

One model only: the KTM Dirt Bike 450 CC. It is the single motorcycle on our booking form, and every KTM ride, whether one, two or three hours, is on that bike. Because there is only one model, the price you see depends only on how long you ride, and the same kit, fuel, briefing and guide are part of every booking.

02 Is one hour on the KTM enough?

It depends on what you want. The 1 Hour Ride at AED 850 includes the warm-up, so you get about 40 minutes of riding on the dunes. That is a fair taste if your day is short. To settle in and cover more ground, step up to two hours for AED 1,250 or three hours for AED 1,450. Both give far more time in the saddle for each dirham spent.

03 Why does three hours cost only a little more than two?

The price steps get smaller as the ride gets longer. Two hours cost AED 1,250 and three hours cost AED 1,450, so the third hour adds AED 200. Measured per hour, that is AED 625 on the two-hour slot and roughly AED 483 on the three-hour one. If you are fit enough for a long session in deep sand, the longest slot is the cheapest per hour.

04 Do I need a licence or an international driving permit?

No. A driving licence is not needed to ride the KTM with us, so visitors do not need to arrange a permit for this ride. What you do need is to be 18 or older and an experienced off-road rider already. The briefing and training before the ride prepare riders with that background for this bike and the Al Badayer sand.

05 Is fuel or protective kit charged on top?

Neither. The ride price already covers the fuel the bike uses and the whole protective set: race pants, a jacket, gloves, goggles, a crash-ready helmet, plus armour for the collarbone and knees. Your pre-ride session with the instructor costs nothing extra either, nor does the guide. Transfers and extras such as sandboarding are optional, and you pay for them only if you add them.

06 My son is 17 and rides motocross. Can he take the KTM?

Not yet. Age 18 is a firm minimum on the KTM, whatever the rider’s experience. For a 17-year-old, the right pick is our COBRA Single Seater Quad Bike ( Fenced Area ), recommended for ages 14 to 17 and rides inside the fenced area. You can book it on the same form as your own KTM ride, at AED 200 for 30 minutes, AED 250 for an hour or AED 400 for two hours.
